In Zipaquirá to the north of the department of Cundinamarca in the Republic of Colombia, ANCESTRAL WISDOM, an extreme metal band that embodies a devastating sound, has been gestated.

its beginnings go back to 2013, as a melodic Death Metal project founded by Andrés and Juan Castañeda, with the passage of time its sound became heavier with influences from genres such as Black, Death, Thrash and ancestral metal.

The ANCESTRAL WISDOM lyrics are focused on respect and admiration towards nature.

With the passage of time the band has had different formations, but in April 2016 its founding members decided to be a band of two members taking more seriousness.

On December 20, 2016 his first work entitled Sílfide is published.

Sílfide is a work in which Black Metal is influenced by other genres but mainly by Thrash.

This first work of ANCESTRAL WISDOM talks about etheric entities of nature, the imminent decadence and destruction of human beings and the magnificence of the natural environment. The cover art is exquisite and reflects what the band wanted to print on the lyrics of one of their songs, where it talks about the harmony of the human being with nature.
